Welcome to the forge! Before you start swinging a hammer, there are a few things we need to go over a few things to get you on your way to a safe and enjoyable experience. 

Safety:

  • Attire: please plan to attend your class with the proper attire. Including covered shoes, and long pants.
  • Safety Glasses are provided 
  • Heat Resistant Gloves - used gloves are provided, however, if you prefer you can bring your own. If you prefer you can bring your own heat-resistant gloves.
  • Waiver - please sign before arriving at the forge. 


We have three levels of classes available










1. Introductory 

This course is an hour-long course for beginners new to the forge and is a requirement for the intermediate class.

This class covers basic theory, shop safety, and forging techniques such as twisting and drawing out metal.

2. Intermediate 
This course is an hour-long course and builds off the beginner class previously taken. In this course, the smiths will improve their skills further by making a railroad spike knife.
